A very popular grape in Washington, Lemberger stands up well to oak aging. The grape is also grown in Central Europe where it is known as Blaufrankisch. There not many producers of this wine in the United States.

Our style comes from a pure accident. The first year we received these grapes, we got twice as much as we were expecting. The only barrels we had available were all new oak. The wine aged very well in the new oak and customers loved the wine. It took us several years to find a reliable source for the grapes but now it is back.  Our Lemberger is aged in 100% new American oak for just under one year. A very hearty wine which goes well with almost anything thrown on the grill.
